Privacy Policy
Effective October 23, 2026
This notice describes information handled in connection with Rewind Indy Radio WRDY-DB’s website and stream, operated by Hoosier Media LLC. For privacy questions or requests, email sales@hoosiermediallc.com.
Information you provide
When you email us or submit a song request, community event, advertising inquiry or other message, we receive the details you choose to send, such as your name, email address, organization and message. Email-draft forms open your email application; you must send the message to complete submission. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or other sensitive information through these forms.
Technical & listening information
Website hosting, security and streaming systems may process IP addresses, browser and device details, request times, pages or resources requested, error information and stream connection or listening-session information. This supports delivery, troubleshooting, security and listener statistics. Technical logs held by hosting or streaming providers are separate from the voting records described below.
Cookies & browser storage
- Voting: the poll service sets a first-party
radio_listenercookie with a lifetime of up to one year to recognize a browser and limit repeat voting. Voting records include the station, weekly round, selected decade, timestamp and hashed browser and network identifiers. The network identifier is derived from an IP address for that round; the voting table does not store the raw IP address. Hashing does not make information anonymous. - Trivia: local storage saves daily quiz answers and progress on your device so you can return to the quiz. It remains until cleared by your browser or site data controls.
- Other services: hosting, streaming and third-party resources may have their own cookies or technical processing. The current station website code does not include a dedicated advertising pixel or cross-site advertising analytics tag.
You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage in your browser’s site-data settings. Doing so may reset trivia progress or affect voting. Blocking browser storage does not prevent the technical processing needed to deliver a page or audio connection. This policy is a disclosure, not a request for blanket consent to optional tracking.
How information is used & shared
Information is used to deliver the website and stream, respond to inquiries, review submissions, administer listener activities, maintain historical voting results, diagnose problems and prevent abuse. Hosting, streaming, email and other service providers process information needed to supply their services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security or legal claims. Event details submitted for public promotion may be published; avoid placing private contact details in the public description.
External services & links
Your browser may connect to the station’s streaming host, Wikipedia/Wikimedia for artist biographies and images, map or weather resources, and other linked or embedded providers. Such connections disclose technical information such as your IP address and browser details to the receiving provider. Clicking a social-media or other external link takes you to a separately operated service. Those providers’ privacy notices govern their independent processing. Hosting and delivery for the ChatGPT-hosted site involve OpenAI and its infrastructure providers; the custom-domain site may use a different hosting provider.
Retention & security
Retention depends on the information and system: the voting cookie expires after up to one year, trivia progress remains in browser storage until cleared, and historical vote records are retained to support previous results and voting integrity. Email correspondence and provider logs have separate retention practices; a single fixed deletion period does not apply across these systems. Contact us about a specific record or deletion request. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices & privacy requests
You can choose not to submit personal information, use browser storage controls, and contact sales@hoosiermediallc.com to request access, correction or deletion, or to ask about processing, sharing, sale or targeted advertising. Depending on your location and applicable law, additional privacy rights and appeal options may apply. We may need proportionate information to verify a request, and legal or operational exceptions may apply. This notice does not claim that every privacy law applies to the station or that a particular statutory exemption has been established.
Children & international visitors
The website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 should not submit personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information can contact us to request review and removal. Services are operated for a U.S. audience; providers may process information in the United States or other locations.
Policy changes & contact
Updates will be posted here with a revised effective date. For privacy requests, contact Hoosier Media LLC at sales@hoosiermediallc.com or use the station’s contact options. Please identify the station and relevant feature so we can locate the right information.
VIP Club email subscriptions
Rewind Indy VIP Club is operated by Hoosier Media Group LLC. We collect your email address, optional first and last names, station-specific consent time, disclosure version, source page, confirmation and subscription history. Email is used for community news, events, concerts, station announcements and marketing you choose to receive. Phone numbers are not collected at launch; future SMS enrollment requires separate explicit consent.
We use Cloudflare-hosted database services for storage and plan to use Brevo for email processing. Brevo receives recipient information and email content when email delivery is enabled. Service providers process information to operate this service; we do not sell subscriber data or automatically enroll you in our other station’s club.
Confirmation links expire after 24 hours. Unconfirmed signup data is deleted after 30 days on the next VIP service access. Confirmed records are retained while subscribed. After unsubscribe or removal, identifiable subscription details are deleted after 30 days on the next VIP service access except records needed for a documented legal obligation. A hashed email suppression record and limited consent/audit evidence are retained to prevent unwanted re-enrollment and document consent. Temporary hashed network rate-limit records are deleted within 48 hours.
Use the unsubscribe link in an email to stop this station’s updates. For access, correction or deletion requests, use our station contact page or call (872) 205-5538. We verify requests before releasing or deleting records. A suppression hash may remain to honor your opt-out. Contests and offers, if announced, have separate terms.
